CEO Rod Kalune launched RK Distribution in 1983 to serve the transportation needs of iconic high tech leaders: KLA-Tencor, Fujitsu and IBM. Over the years, the company became RK Logistics Group, and expanded services to include warehousing, delivery of hot spares needed by manufacturing and finished goods distribution around the world. Now a dedicated fleet runs daily pick-up and deliveries of parts moving to and from Silicon Valley campuses, airport recovery services bring inbound materials from Asia and RK facilities house ‘clean’ inventory for an amazing array of high tech products. RK is in fact a Silicon Valley Foreign Trade Zone for innovative automotive manufacturing as well as time critical medical devices and diagnostic instrumentation.
